Juneau International Airport

Juneau Airport Terminal Renovation
Juneau, Alaska
The result of a 2004 Terminal Master Plan completed by JYW with nationally recognized aviation planners at HNTB, this project includes the renovation and expansion of the existing Juneau International Airport Terminal. The original terminal constructed in 1948 from drawings by our predecessor firm Foss & Malcolm has undergone numerous expansions over the years. In a post 9/11 world, the terminal was in dire need of functional and aesthetic upgrades to improve security and operations, increase energy efficiency, and provide a better travel experience for those who enter it. Construction of Phase I was completed in 2009 and Phase II construction was completed in the fall of 2010.
