Behind any successful building design is a successful planning effort. The questions of why and when and where are not just existential angst- the relationships of location, priority, costs, funding, function and future must all be sorted out before actual building design starts. When called upon, the JYW team has assisted our clients to confront the various complex, often conflicting needs, desires and goals encountered at the outset of a project. We can help tame these wild issues, turning them into manageable project milestones- whether large, complex long range airport plans, short term phasing schemes and all sizes and types of planning projects in between.
Planning projects work best in an inclusive, multi-disciplinary environment, often including stakeholders and users who may not be familiar with the planning process. We provide experienced facilitation to complement our planning and design expertise to ensure that the planning process is understandable and that the planning product reflects our clients values and aspirations.
